Vase 1/2.

This ceramic vase began as a wheel-thrown form, which I then transformed by attaching hand-built curves to its surface. I was interested in exploring the plasticity of clay and pushing the boundaries of the vessel’s shape beyond its functional origins.

Techniques: Wheel-thrown + hand built.
Measurements: h 31 cm x 8 cm / 12 in x 3,1 in
The added curves create a dynamic interplay between movement and stillness, inviting a new way of experiencing the object. This piece is part of an ongoing exploration of form, where I experiment with how clay can shift and respond to intuitive gestures.
